The area of Cilacap is known for it’s cliffs,travellers
prefer to continue their travel from Pangandaran to Cilacap by vessels because
there much more to see in Cilacap like:Cilacap Natural Harbour,which can used
by large sea-going ship,there also a port which used to inspect the marine
traffic especially the military ones in Hindian Ocean,recently this has been
restored by private investor.
You can also have a view on the Teluk Penyu (Turtle Beach)
and the mysterious ruins of the Benteng Pendem (Buried Fortress),beside
this,there are souvenir shops which sell
sea-shell craft,billiard balls for the sailors and a children’s play
ground,Cilacap can also be reached by air transportation,regular flight from
Jakarta to Cilacap every Monday,Friday,Saturday and Sunday.
Nusa Kambangan island is located in south side of Cilacap is
one of nature resort in Central Java has 210 km2 wide (36 km length and 4-6 km
wide),administratively under Cilacap regency,geographically there is two kind
attractions in Nusa Kambangan island and tourist can enjoy both of them.
First is marine activities in Segara Anakan include a nice
site/view of Hindian Ocean and the second Nusa Kambangan island offer a
fantastic panoramic included cave and a monumental building used to people
rehabilitations.
