If there is a location that you should not miss when visiting Belitung it is the
island of Lengkuas. The view
on a small island surrounded by giant granite
boulders is amazingly beautiful. But the most interesting
tourist icon is the lighthouse that stands in the center of the island.
Lengkuas island located in northern village of Tanjung Binga.
Tourists can hire a boat from Tanjung BingaTanjung Kelayang, nor of the Tanjung High.
Travel time by boat from the island of Belitung to Lengkuas about 40
minutes. On the way to the small island, you can
see the beauty of the Belitung
Island as well as the small
islands in the distance.
Lengkuas Island lighthouse itself
was built by the
Dutch in 1882. Although it is very old, this 12
level lighthouse still standing.
In parts of the
visible proof of the
actual age of the building
through a porous
and rusty ladder.
Perhaps because of age of the lighthouse or because
I visited there alone, the atmosphere inside the lighthouse a bit creepy. One by
one I climb stairs, sometimes due
to the sound of crackling old staircase.

When arriving in the highest room
in the lighthouse, creeps disappear instantly. From the top looks amazingly beautiful scenery. Clear blue water,
pile whitish granite,
as well as the small islands from a distance
looks green is an indulgent blend of eye
sight. The weather at the time was sunny, perfect for taking pictures.
At the top of lighthouse visitors can see a 360 degree view. All directions
look beautiful, and blue continued to dominate. When you look down, you can see the trees that
shade this beautiful island.
They say the island is inhabited only three people, all of whom were lighthouse keepers. True, though it is very old, it is still functioned to guide ships sailing in the seas around at night.

In this island there are several swing
that is mounted under the big trees.
Not a lot of existing
facilities on the island of Lengkuas,
but they provide
a bathroom. There's a good idea
to bring your travel stuff and
items just like water,snack,etc .
Lengkuas Island beach has fine white sand is also very beautiful. In the waters around the island, visitors can swim and do snorkeling. The water is clean and clear, perfect snorkeling. At different points there are large piles of granite. When I had a chance to swim here i hit something which I think rocks, it turns out some of the fruit of the tomb. Said the guard, it is the tomb of the lighthouse keeper.
